Hong Kong Physiotherapy Association (HKPA) is pleased to announce that we are collaborating with the Medical Protection Society (MPS) to host a medicolegal education talk. This medicolegal education talk brings to life the issues and dilemmas faced by physiotherapists in practices. The speakers will explore real cases and key medicolegal learnings from each, and provide best suggestions to avoid respective pitfalls.

Speaker
Dr Mohamed Faruqi Uzair Mohamed Sidek (MBBS LLM DLM), Medicolegal Consultant, Medical Protection Society (MPS)
Speaker Information:
Dr Sidek graduated in medicine from the University of Malaya and previously held the position of Senior Principle Assistant Director in the Medico Legal Section, Medical Practice Division, Ministry of Health Malaysia. He obtained LLM at the University of Kent, with the dissertation titled- ‘The Impact of Covid-19 Towards the Standard of Care in Medical Negligence’ He also holds Bachelor of Legal Studies and Diploma in Legal Medicine. He is currently an exco member with the Medico Legal Society of Malaysia. He is a key member of the MPS Medicolegal Team Asia, Caribbean & Bermuda, mainly supporting members across Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore.
