Dear HKPA Student Members,

The Hong Kong Physiotherapy Association (HKPA) emphasizes the importance of all-roundedness of physiotherapy students. We are excited to announce the launch of the HKPA Physiotherapy Student Volunteers Program for the year 2026-2027! This is a fantastic opportunity for you to enhance your skills and network with experienced physiotherapists.

Objectives
The objective of this program is to provide opportunities for students in entry-level physiotherapy programs to network with experienced physiotherapists in a specialty area; and engage in the work and activities of Executive Committee (EC), Specialty Group (SG) and Working Group (WG) of HKPA. The program is intended to promote both personal and professional growth of the participating students.
Program Content and Duration
  • The program duration is from 31 Jan 2026 to 31 Jan 2027
  • HKPA Student Members could apply as HKPA student volunteers. Throughout the year, student volunteers could support and assist the activities organized by the HKPA EC/ SG/ WG (Organizational chart: https://www.hongkongpa.com.hk/about-hkpa/organizational-chart/)
Expectations

During the program, the participating students are expected to:

  • assist in planning and implementing activities organized by the HKPA (e.g. annual conference, continuing education courses, community exercise classes, etc.);
  • network with members of the EC/SG/WG of HKPA;
  • actively promote HKPA and its activities to fellow students.
  • Complimentary registration of the HKPA annual conference and activities organized by the EC/SG/WG will be provided during the program period.
Eligibility
  1. Students currently enrolled in an entry-level physiotherapy program offered by one of the following institutions:
    • Saint Francis University
    • Hong Kong Metropolitan University
    • The Hong Kong Polytechnic University
    • Tung Wah College
  2. In year 1, 2 or 3 of the study (Year 1-3 Bsc & Year 1 MPT) as of Sept 30, 2025.
  3. Hold a valid HKPA Student Membership.
Application

If you are interested in becoming a student volunteers, please fill in the Google form (https://forms.gle/R8iP3LCvdVEEoDYAA) on or before 31 Dec 2025.

If the applications exceed available slots, selections will be made randomly using a computerized system. The results will be announced by 15 Jan 2026.
