Dear HKPA Members,
The Hong Kong Physiotherapy Association (HKPA) is pleased to offer an exclusive continuing education opportunity to our members through a collaboration with Rehab Essentials and the University of Montana, a regionally accredited university in the United States.
Pharmacology in Rehabilitation is a fully online, self-paced course designed to provide physiotherapists with a practical understanding of commonly prescribed medications and their relevance to rehabilitation practice. The course focuses on major drug classes, the physiologic basis of their action, and how pharmacologic management interacts with physiotherapy interventions.
Special emphasis is placed on medications frequently encountered in patients receiving physiotherapy, including how drug therapy may both support rehabilitation outcomes and contribute to adverse effects that impact clinical decision-making and treatment planning.
The course is taught by Charles Ciccone, PT, PhD, FAPTA, a nationally recognized expert in pharmacology and physiotherapy education.
